Meet Your Coach

Bonnie Bernardin Papajohn

NASM* Certified Nutrition Coach & Personal Trainer
ACE* Certified Health Coach

I have a true personal passion for embracing fitness and smart nutrition as part of a healthy lifestyle, and I’ve turned that passion into a career helping others successfully do the same. Certified as a personal trainer as well as both a health and nutrition coach, I’m able to combine my experience and expert knowledge to guide my clients in creating and sustaining new habits to significantly improve their lives. For me, it’s unbelievably rewarding.

Maybe I connect so well with my clients because I’ve “been there.” My own journey into health began years ago as a young mother of two.  At the age of 35, feeling sluggish, bloated, tired and anxious, I decided that I had to do something to make a change. It started with two aerobic classes at my local YMCA, which led to more classes such as spin and kick boxing. I could not believe how much better I felt. I then ventured into the weight room and was completely hooked. My nutrition had been off as well; not surprising given that I was eating leftovers from my kids’ plates. So I started making small nutrition changes, which also made a BIG difference.

Ten years in, I began teaching fitness classes, and then ventured into personal training. And knowing how critical it had been for me to recognize that exercise, diet and lifestyle all go hand in hand, I became a Certified Health Coach in 2017 so I could lead others in managing that trifecta.

Now, as a Certified Nutrition Coach, I have even more to offer. For the past two and a half years, I have worked in a medical setting assisting clients in  overcoming obesity, whether due to Type 2 diabetes, PCOS, Metabolic Disorder, or other health issues. Helping these individuals literally gain a new lease on life feels like my biggest achievement yet, and for that I am truly grateful.

When I’m not spending time with clients, I love to cook, read and garden. And I’m not afraid to admit I love a good nap as well!

Health & Hugs,

Bonnie
